There arc many ways to do this, one of which includes joining a local PMI chapter. There arc hundreds of local chapters in every state and in other countries as well. Chapter meetings give you the opportunity to meet other project managers, find out what techniques they're using, and seek advice regarding your project. Usually guest speakers appear at each chapter meeting and share their experiences and tips. Their stories arc always interesting, and they give you the opportunity to learn from someone else's experiences and avoid making wrong turns on your next project.
